Lean Enterprise Acceleration Programmes
LEAP or Lean Enterprise Acceleration Programmes assesses a business’ ESD (Enterprise and Supplier Development) requirements in terms of current legislation and then manages their compulsory spend through developing small businesses in the supply chain and running training programmes, managing shared resources and running a Trading Platform (ProcureWorld / BusinessWorld) for preferred and empowered suppliers. Strategic focus area for government and companies over the next >10years, supported by legislative interventions and incentives to drive SME growth. LEAP has built a number of tools and processes to help deliver a relevant service (including proprietary tech platforms and tools – such as the Businessworld and procurement analysis tools). Through ProcureWorld / BusinessWorld, LEAP has a growing database of SMEs and their information which will grow to be a valuable resource to a variety of potential partners and LEAP’s own work with SMEs. There are currently 8,000 vetted SME’s on ProcureWorld / BusinessWorld.
COVID-19: Despite the challenging circumstances, LEAP are ahead of budget as business use their EDS funds to support SMME’s. LEAP’s entrepreneur support has helped carry small businesses though training and mentorship that helps them navigate.
