With a background in M&A law, strategy, and business operations, she has international experience across Africa, Europe, and the USA. Lerato has strong ESG credentials and a passion for developing companies and teams, alongside a focus on ethical technology governance. She holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a law degree from Harvard Law School. Lerato is also a member of Rising Tide Africa, where she is helping to expand the network to South Africa.

Patner in Hlayisani Capital, he holds a BComm in Management and Economics and an MBA from UCT’s Graduate School of Business, where he received the Old Mutual Gold Medal Award. Mathew was previously the co-owner of an ethnic hair business which sold to the Godrej Group in 2007. He also managed a property portfolio, established a clothing manufacturing business in Mauritius. Mathew has over 14 yrs investment and management experience with 10 years of Venture Capital experience.

Brett is the founder and Lead Partner of AngelHub Ventures one of the most active venture fund investors in South Africa. Brett gained diverse corporate experience with Deloitte, PWC (South Africa and Middle East), and Standard Bank’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Brett serves on the board several technology businesses and as a member of the South African Venture Capital and Private Equity’s (“SAVCA”) Venture Capital sub-committee.
